Dr. Don Beebe

Biography

Dr. Don Beebe is a board-certified veterinary dental specialist and co-founder of Apex Veterinary Specialists. He is a 1993 graduate of the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. After ten years in general practice at small animal hospitals in Colorado, New Mexico, and California, he decided to pursue his passion for animal dentistry. Dr. Beebe left general practice and was accepted into a residency program in specialty dentistry and oral surgery at the University of Wisconsin, one of only 4 academic residencies in dentistry offered at that time. His foundation as a good all-around doctor served him well at UW where he was recognized for his clinical acumen, surgical skills, and warm bedside manner. In 2005 he was named Resident of the Year. He earned his AVDC board certification in 2006. He founded Apex Dog and Cat Dentistry in 2007 at VRCC in Englewood, Colorado. He is co-founder of the new Apex Veterinary Specialists in Greenwood Village, which offers specialty Dentistry, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, and Anesthesia services. Dr. Beebe’s goal is to combine his clinical dental expertise with his compassionate bedside manner in order to improve the quality of life of pets with oral diseases throughout Colorado and the western US.

Dr. Beebe is board certified by the American Veterinary Dental College. Board certification is the highest level of specialization that may be attained in the veterinary field.  He has published numerous scientific papers, news articles, and book chapters. To improve the level of medicine, he teaches continuing education courses to veterinarians and veterinary technicians, both locally and nationally. He has trained numerous residents in dentistry, who have gone on to become board certified themselves. Dr. Beebe and his wife have four children, six Sphinx cats, a Labrador retriever, and a friendly Border Collie, “Bur”, who comes to Apex with Dr. Beebe on most work days. They all enjoy hiking and camping on the weekends (yes, even the cats!).
