Dr. Don Beebe is a board-certified veterinary dental specialist and co-founder of Apex Veterinary Specialists. He is a 1993 graduate of the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. After ten years in general practice at small animal hospitals in Colorado, New Mexico, New York, and California, he decided to pursue his passion for animal dentistry. In 2003 Dr. Beebe left general practice and was accepted into a residency program in specialty dentistry and oral surgery at the University of Wisconsin, one of only 4 academic residencies in dentistry offered at that time.

A native of Denver, Dr. Richman proudly represents her roots as an alumna of the University of Denver. Her journey into veterinary medicine began at Denver’s own Harrison Memorial Animal Hospital, a non-profit dedicated to low- and fixed-income pet owners in the metro area. She earned her veterinary degree at St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine, followed by a rigorous year-long internship at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital.
With diverse experience spanning more than a decade, Dr. Richman honed her skills in emergency medicine and general practice. Yet, the intricate world of veterinary dentistry and oral surgery truly captivated her heart during that time. This passion led her to Apex, where she has completed a demanding three-year residency program under the guidance of the American Veterinary Dental CollegeTM. She firmly believes that the health of an animal’s mouth is integral to its overall well-being, and this conviction has been the driving force behind her dedication over the last ten years.
When the white coat comes off, Dr. Richman cherishes her moments with her family. Together with her husband and son, they revel in the companionship of their beloved dog, Fennel, and their creatively named (by the toddler) pet Axolotl, ‘Axolotl.’ A lover of nature and the great outdoors, Dr. Richman and her family frequently embark on road biking expeditions, ski escapades, and travel adventures, always eager to explore the beauty the world has to offer.
Dr. Eric Song was proudly raised in Austin, Texas, and has combined his lifelong passions for veterinary medicine and the outdoors into a rewarding career. He earned both his Bachelor of Science degree (2013) and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (2017) from Colorado State University. Following his graduation, Dr. Song worked in general practice in Texas for four years, when he found a passion for dentistry. He subsequently pursued a private practice residency in 2021 and is extremely proud to have had Dr. Beebe as his supervisor. In 2024 Dr. Song officially earned his title as a board-certified specialist of the American Veterinary Dental College. His professional focus is on enhancing the quality of life for his patients through the management of acute and chronic dental and oral pain.
In addition to being veterinarians, Dr. Song and his wife, Dr. Madeline Song, are dedicated rock climbers and mountain bikers. Together, they sport climb, boulder, and trail ride throughout the Front Range, and enjoy traveling to climb new walls all over the world. Their shared interests are complemented by their life with their Miniature Schnauzer puppy, Indigo, spotted Labrador Retriever mix, Mulan, and their black medium-haired cat, Astro. Dr. Song has a special fondness for dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes, with a particular affection for Miniature Schnauzers.

Foster is originally from Durham, North Carolina before relocating to Tallahassee, FL. Foster obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL (go Gators!). After deciding the humidity was enough (among other reasons), Foster relocated to Denver, CO in 2021.
As a veterinary technician, Foster loves it all, but has a strong passion for emergency medicine and critical inpatient care. As much as Foster loves being able to work one-on-one with patients, he takes even more joy in being able to provide support to the hospital staff to allow them do what they do best. He believes that the most rewarding part of his job is being able to make a difference in the lives of the veterinarians and support staff who work so hard to care for the community’s pets. Prior to joining the Apex Veterinary Specialists team, Foster held leadership and operational roles in specialty & emergency care centers in both Florida and Colorado. Foster is incredibly proud to lead such a phenomenal team — the Apex team.
When not at work, Foster can be found enjoying all the outdoors has to offer, attending music performances, playing the French Horn, and enjoying time with his family. He shares his busy life with his partner, Eric, and their household full of creatures — two cats (Mencha & Eyebrows), two dogs (Minerva and Odysseus), and whatever else may come their way.
